We need your help! That’s right, all 3 of you that read this blog, we need your help. My running soundtrack has become stale and I need to get a good playlist for the marathon. So, take a second and try to think of 5 songs that you must have on your mp3 player when you work out and post them in the comments section.
Here are my 5 in no particular order:
1. Jet, “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”
A little old but still kicks ass…kinda like me 😉
2. All Time Low, “Weightless”
…and i’m over getting older. Nuf said.
3. American Authors, “Best Day of My Life”
Reminds me of training with Stu. Miss you man! Even though you don’t read my blog, ya b@sturd
4. American Authors, “Hit It”
So, I’m an American Authors fan, so what.
Hilltop Hoods, “The Hard Road”
Ana doesn’t care for it, but I love it!
alright, one more ’cause it’s fun…
New Politics, “Harlem”
Shake it like a bad girl up in Harlem! How can you not like lyrics like that!
Do it, do it now. Take 5 minutes and give me your 5 favorite workout/running songs.

Blog Read… Boom! Balls in your court now!
1 – “World On Fire” – Slash ft Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators (Literally every song on the album is amazing get it)
2 – “The Mighty Fall” – Fall out Boy
3 – “Maps” – Maroon 5
4 – “Centuries” – Fall Out Boy (two FOB songs, and its a single, but still very good)
5 – “Bang Bang” – Jessie J ft Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj
Miss you too buddy.
Awesome. I’m a huge Fall Out Boys fan when it comes time to work out. Their whole album, Save Rock and Roll is great.
Okay so I don’t workout but: the three songs from your Tough Mudder video that Stu made, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” by Fall Out Boy, and “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift.
“Bleeding Out”, “Radioactive”, and “On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons…pure awesomeness
I am not sure our musical tastes line up… but at mile 23, when the the game is thuroughly *on*, you need a call to action, a rallying cry.
Warrior’s Code (Dropkick Murphys)
Best Day ’till Tomorrow (The Real McKenzies)
This one can also be good for an ironic chuckle if it comes on around mile 10:
Within a Mile of Home (Flogging Molly)
Love it. The rocking bagpipe in “Warrior’s Code” is great. “Best Day ‘Til Tomorrow” reminds me of Green Day and “Within a Mile of Home” somewhat reminds me of the Wonderstuff…who I love. All have been added to the playlist, thanks for the list!
